Meditation and medicine are integrally connected through the experience of care, attention and wholeness.
While open to all, this seven day meditation retreat has a special focus for those in the medical and caring professions.
Laurence Freeman OSB, who is leading a course on meditation and leadership in the medical profession for the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, will guide participants towards discovering how important is the inner state to their work and care for others, and to the life of the health care professions in general.
It is a special opportunity to refresh the sense of calling that makes the medical and caring professions personally fulflling as well as effective for the well-being of others.
Bere Island is a unique environment of great peace, friendliness and beauty which has hosted many retreats for meditators.
